SYNTHALEN® MP
Description:
Synthalen MP, USP grade carbomer homopolymer type B, is a benzene-free synthetic polymer used in the pharmaceutical industry as a thickener and suspending agent. Synthalen MP dispersions are characterized by low viscosity at 0.2% or less and high viscosity at concentrations of 0.5% or more. This feature enables the production of significantly different rheologies with a single polymer. It is suitable for stabilizing emulsions and suspensions for pharmaceutical applications. It can be used in topical preparations, oral products, and controlled-release oral products. Through our proprietary manufacturing technique, it is practically solvent free–well below the limit (600 ppm for class 2 solvents) recommended by the International Conference on Harmonization (ICH).
